Sandra K. Hill-Iglehart is a 43 year resident of Hayward, California. After 38 years of teaching, she retired from public school education. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Education and a Master of Arts Degree in Vocal Performance.
While planning for a Black History assembly at the high school where she taught, Sandra thought of how African–Americans use “sayings” to convey many messages. She asked friends and relatives what their favorite sayings were. This book is the result of that question. Sandra hopes that all will enjoy these spoken and understood messages that have been passed down from generation to generation.
